The marks, and how to use them.

Everything here is free to use when you are writing about Bodhya, running an event with us, or listing us as a partner. Please use the files as they are.

Logo files

Two marks: the wordmark, which carries the name, and the icon on its own for small or square spaces. Each comes in terracotta, ink, and cream — as SVG for print and design tools, and as transparent PNG for everything else.

Bodhya wordmark in terracotta

Wordmark — terracotta

The primary logo. Use this wherever there is room for the name, on light or cream grounds.

Bodhya icon mark in terracotta

Icon — terracotta

The mark without text, for avatars, favicons, stickers, and anywhere square.

Bodhya wordmark in ink black

Wordmark — ink

For single-colour printing, documents, and anywhere colour would compete with the page.

Bodhya icon mark in ink black

Icon — ink

The single-colour icon, for stamps, embroidery, and one-ink print.

Bodhya wordmark in cream, shown on a dark ground

Wordmark — cream

The reversed logo. Use it on ink, teal, terracotta, or a dark photograph.

Bodhya icon mark in cream, shown on a dark ground

Icon — cream

The reversed icon, for dark avatars and dark event slides.

Type

Six faces, all open-licensed and all on Google Fonts. The Hindi pair is separate because none of the Latin faces carry Devanagari — both are built into Figma, Canva, and Inkscape, so print and social work can use the same type as the site.

Colour

Terracotta and cream are the brand. Teal, mustard, and ink carry the rest of the system.

Terracotta #AD544B

The primary accent. On the cream-tint ground it steps down to #8E433C for contrast.

Teal #16564F

The secondary accent: section numbers, links in body copy, the utility bar.

Mustard #E8B84B

Tertiary. Only ever on teal or ink — it fails contrast on anything light.

Ink #241E1B

Body text, the footer ground, and dark buttons.

Cream #FFF8F3

The page ground, and text on any dark ground.

Cream tint #F4EBE3

Alternating section bands and inset note blocks.

Body text #3A322E

Long-form paragraph text, a shade softer than ink.

Label #6D5F5F

Mono labels, metadata, and dates.

A few rules

Please do

  • Leave clear space around the mark, at least the height of the B on every side
  • Use the SVG wherever the medium allows it — it stays sharp at any size
  • Pick the variant that suits the ground: terracotta or ink on light, cream on dark
  • Write the name as “Bodhya”, in sentence case, with no full stop

Please don't

  • Stretch, rotate, crop, or add effects to the mark
  • Recolour it outside the three variants above
  • Place the terracotta mark on a dark or busy ground — use the cream one
  • Rebuild the wordmark by setting “Bodhya” in a font
