This page explains how a learner, a parent or legal guardian, or a facilitator can ask us to delete a Bodhya Learn account and everything stored with it. You do not need to install the app to make this request.
हिन्दी में — खाता और जानकारी कैसे हटवाएँ
कौन कह सकता है? सीखने वाली ख़ुद, उसके माता-पिता या अभिभावक, या उसकी फैसिलिटेटर। इसके लिए ऐप दोबारा इंस्टॉल करने की ज़रूरत नहीं है। आप पूरी बात हिन्दी में लिख सकते हैं।
क्या करें? [email protected] पर ईमेल भेजें, विषय में लिखें “Delete my data”, और इतना बताएँ —
- सीखने वाली का चुना हुआ नाम, जैसा ऐप में दिखता है;
- कैंपस, कक्षा या फैसिलिटेटर का नाम (अगर वह किसी क्लास से जुड़ी है);
- आप कौन हैं — ख़ुद सीखने वाली, या उसके अभिभावक/फैसिलिटेटर।
हम कोई सरकारी पहचान-पत्र, फ़ोन नंबर या काग़ज़ नहीं मांगते।
क्या-क्या हटेगा? उसका खाता और उससे जुड़ी सारी जानकारी — नाम और अवतार, पाठ की प्रगति (सितारे, सिक्के, जेम्स), क्विज़ और टेस्ट के जवाब, फैसिलिटेटर को भेजे गए सवाल और उनके जवाब, हाज़िरी, मूल्यांकन, और बोली की सारी रिकॉर्डिंग — ऑडियो फ़ाइलें भी। बच्चे की आवाज़ की कोई कतरन हम नहीं रखते।
कितना समय लगेगा? 7 दिन के अंदर हम आपकी बात मिलने की पुष्टि करेंगे, और खाता पक्का होने के 30 दिन के अंदर जानकारी हटा देंगे। हो जाने पर हम आपको लिखकर बताएँगे।
सिर्फ़ कुछ हटवाना है? सब कुछ हटाना ज़रूरी नहीं। आप कह सकते हैं कि सिर्फ़ रिकॉर्डिंग हटा दें, या सिर्फ़ भेजे गए सवाल हटा दें, और बाक़ी पढ़ाई की प्रगति रहने दें। ईमेल में बता दें कि क्या हटाना है।
How to request deletion
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Delete my data”, and include:
- the learner’s chosen name as it appears in the app;
- the campus, class or facilitator name, if the learner joined through a classroom;
- whether you are the learner, or the parent/guardian or facilitator making the request for a child.
We do not ask for any government ID, phone number, or document. We only need enough detail to find the right account and to be reasonably sure the request comes from the learner or a responsible adult — because wrongly deleting a child’s work is as harmful as wrongly keeping it.
App accounts are name-based. Bodhya Learn does not collect email addresses or phone numbers from learners, so we cannot look an account up by email. Please give the chosen name and the campus/class — that is how accounts are identified.
If the learner never signed in, there is nothing for us to delete. Bodhya Learn can be played as a guest, entirely offline, without an account. In that case nothing was ever sent to our server — the progress exists only on that one device, and clearing it there (below) removes everything. You do not need to write to us at all.

What gets deleted
On request we permanently delete the learner’s account and all of the information linked to it:

| Attendance | Attendance days and device pings recorded while the learner was using the app. |
| Learning events | Activity-level records such as wrong answers and time spent, used to help facilitators teach. |
| Evaluations and milestones | Facilitator evaluations and any milestone or belt gates cleared. |
| Device identifier | The random per-install identifier used for attendance. |
Data on the learner’s own device
Bodhya Learn is offline-first, so most information normally sits on the device itself. Removing that copy is immediate and does not require contacting us. How you do it depends on how she plays:

Clearing the device copy does not by itself delete anything already synced to our server — use the email request above for that.
What we keep, and for how long
- Encrypted backups. Deleted records may survive for a short while in our routine encrypted server backups, until those backups expire on their normal rotation and are destroyed with it. We never restore a deleted account from a backup.
- Nothing else. We do not retain a copy for advertising, profiling, or sale. We have no advertising IDs and no third-party analytics.
How long it takes
- We acknowledge your request within 7 days.
- We complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming the account.
- We write back to confirm when it is done.
Deleting only some information
You do not have to delete everything. You may instead ask us to correct a name, or remove only the doubts and messages, and keep the rest of the learning progress. Just say what you want removed in the email — including anything not listed above.
